# Compositions

In HoloEdit, **Compositions** are the starting point for editing volumetric video. Each Composition contains one or more pieces of edited volumetric video called **Tracks**. Each Track contains of volumetric data streams and holoedit editing stages to produce a single clip of Volumetric Video. 

This section contains a basic overview of Compositions and their contents.
